Senior Project Manager
Morningside Group is a Chicago‐based builder and developer that creates premier residential and mixed‐use communities in sought‐after cities throughout the Midwest. We are currently seeking a Senior Project Manager.
The responsibilities of the Senior Project Manager include, but are not limited to:
- Manage the day‐to‐day operations of projects
- Manage the bidding, scope review, and contractor award process
- Negotiate and administer contracts
- Preparation of cost estimates, budget updates and change order
- Administration of contractor progress payments, submittals and RFI’s
- Coordination with on‐site supervision
- Preparation of the project schedule; including updates
- Conduct site meetings with project team
Requirements:
The ideal candidate works well with minimal supervision, is a team player, takes initiative and is willing dedicate the time that is necessary to get the job done. The position requires strong leadership, communication, organizational skills and the ability to work well in a fast‐paced environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in construction science, engineering, architecture or related field from an accredited institution
- Seven or more years of construction experience
- Experience in Multifamily construction is preferred but not required
- Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously
- Proven track record of successful leadership and management of projects
- Excellent computer skills. Must be highly proficient at Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel, as well as scheduling software. MS Project will be utilized in this role.
- Entrepreneurial spirit and strong work ethic, combined with keen sense of priorities in execution
