Pre-Leasing Set to Open For Chicago Luxury Community

Wheaton, Ill.—Morningside Group, a Chicago-based developer, will begin pre-leasing the luxury apartment community Wheaton 121 on March 15.

Located at 121 N. Cross St in the heart of downtown Wheaton, the community will consist of 306 luxury rental homes and a number of upscale amenities, making it an attractive option for DuPage County.

“The elevated level of amenities, the modern and very upscale design, and the prime location all set Wheaton 121 apart from any other new apartment community in the area,” David Strosberg, Morningside Group’s president, tells MHN. “The units themselves rival any apartment one would find in downtown Chicago, yet we’re in a quaint, upscale historic suburb.”

Among its menu of amenities are a heated swimming pool, BBQ stations, fire pit, lounge areas, dog run, bocce court, upscale community room with a catering kitchen, separate business center and conference room, a state-of-the-art theater room and a large health club-quality fitness center and yoga area.

According to Strosberg, inside the units include all of the finishes one would expect from a luxury condo such as hardwood flooring, granite countertops, stainless steel appliances, generous ceiling heights and oversized windows. There’s also high-end plumbing and light fixtures, individually controlled gas forced-air furnaces and central air-conditioning, and in-unit washers and dryers.

Available floor plans include loft; studio; one bedroom/one bath; two bedroom/one bath; two bedroom/two bath; and three bedroom/two bath plans. They range from 558 to 1,509 square feet, and each unit includes private outdoor space.

“The views are also wonderful, with the option to overlook the rooftops of historic downtown Wheaton or the building courtyard park and pool,” he says. “Other unique unit amenities include private entrances in the ground floor units or a rotunda of windows in select top floor units.”

Adding to the appeal of Wheaton 121 is its close proximity to area shops and restaurants as downtown Wheaton is right outside the doors. Residents will also be steps from a beautiful city park, library and Metra train station.

“There is truly nothing like this community in Wheaton or anywhere in DuPage County,” Strosberg says. “We are raising the bar on what it means to be a luxury rental community in the western suburbs.”

The six-story building was designed by Fitzgerald Associates Architects.
