OAK LAWN, IL –  Morningside Group has announced their grand opening weekend on September 8 and 9, 2007, for the second building of Prairie Town Center in Oak Lawn. The info center, located at 5239 W. 95th Street, will be open extended hours – 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. – that weekend to accommodate interested buyers.

Located off of 95th Street at Cook Avenue, the 60-home second building will feature a brick-and-stone façade, and all residents will enjoy their own private balconies. Homes range in size from 844 square feet to 1,461 square feet and are one bedroom and one-and-a-half baths, two bedrooms and two baths, or three bedrooms and two baths. Prices range from $183,900 to $323,900 (prices subject to change without notice). The price includes one heated, indoor parking space and an individual storage locker. Exterior parking is also available.

Prairie Town Center’s first building has been a great success, with more than 80 percent of the initial offerings already sold out. Occupancy for the first building will begin in spring 2008.

Standard features at Prairie Town Center include kitchens with 42-inch upper cabinets. Baths have cultured-marble tops in a variety of colors, and buyers can choose from a selection of vanity styles and finishes. Residences have nine-foot ceilings in all living spaces, per plan; and walk-in closets or dressing rooms in master bedrooms, per plan.

Prairie Town Center will also boast two single-story retail buildings featuring 18,000 square feet of retail space just steps away from the condominiums with frontage on 95th Street.

Prairie Town Center is just a short walk away from the Metra train station, Freshline Grocery, Starbucks Coffee, Potbelly Sandwich Works, Citibank, Dunkin Donuts, the Vino Tinto wine bar, Cold Stone Creamery, Al’s Beef, Nancy’s Pizza and Hollywood Video.

Prairie Town Center is a joint venture of Chicago-based builder and developer Morningside Group and Oakbrook Terrace, IL-based Mid-America Development Partners. Morningside Group also served as Program Manager for the Oak Lawn Transportation Center Redevelopment, consisting of a new Metra station, an 821-space municipal parking structure and retail development. Prairie Town Center’s sister development, the five-story, 84-home Arbor Court, located at the intersection of 96th Street and 51st Avenue was also a part of the redevelopment project. Only eight homes remain at Arbor Court and are available for immediate move-in.
