Older Suburbs Win 3 Upscale Projects

Three luxury home projects are getting off the ground in the close-in suburbs. Two are condominium developments and the third contains single-family homes.

The single-family homes are in Des Plaines at Longford Glen, a project of Kennedy Community Development, one of the Kennedy Group of companies.

The 74 luxury homes will be on a 55-acre site with a creek bed winding through the land, flanked by dense, mature trees.

Homes will range from 2,400 to 3,300 square feet on lots of about 12,000 square feet. All will have 4 bedrooms and 2 1/2 baths. Pre-construction prices range from $306,900 to $362,900. The steel-framed, brick building features a traditional architectural design. Pre-construction prices range from $191,900 to $239,900.

Units at Morningside Terrace will range from 1,423 to 1,615 square feet, including 2-bedroom, 2-bedroom-plus-family room and optional 3-bedroom designs. Morningside Terrace. Visit the Baird & Warner sales office at 2735 Central St. in Evanston; (708) 491-1855.
