Model Unit Opens at Water’s Edge

A model unit is for sale at Water’s Edge, a Cambridge Homes development in Grayslake planned for 65 townhouses along the water.

The Atlantic series Carolina model is one of 10 residences remaining for sale.

The tri-level plan is a 2,389-square-foot design with two bedrooms, a loft, 3.5 baths, a den, upper level laundry area, finished lower level and attached two-car garage.

It includes a two-sided fireplace, a master bedroom with tray ceiling and upgraded bath, and an intercom and sound system. The Carolina model is priced at $378,200.

Located along the northwestern shore of Gages Lake, Water’s Edge will have its own private beach, a boat launch, individual boat slips, and a central open space area ringed with mature trees and a nearby pond with a walking path in between.

To visit, take Interstate Highway 94 to the Belvidere Road (Illinois Highway 120) exit. Go west about 4.5 miles to U.S. Highway 45. *Weiss Development has unveiled a new decorated model at River’s Edge, its development of 80 condominiums in Vernon Hills.

The 2,305-square-foot Hickory is a corner unit with three bedrooms and 2.5 baths. It has a circular gallery at its center and two balconies and is priced from $518,700, including a heated two-car garage and storage space. The Hickory is one of seven floor plans still available in the first phase at River’s Edge, and the only three-bedroom plan. The others are two-bedroom, two-bath designs ranging from 1,745 to 2,325 square feet and priced from $373,500 to $539,000. All units include one or two deeded indoor parking spaces with storage.

River’s Edge is in Stevenson High School District 125 in the southeast corner of Vernon Hills, adjacent to the north end of the Half Day Forest Preserve.

Each building will have a club room with a terrace and fitness facility. River’s Edge is on the east side of Milwaukee Avenue, 1.5 blocks north of Illinois Highway 22; enter on Benjamin Drive. *Morningside Group will debut its second building at Prairie Town Center in Oak Lawn on Sept. 8 and 9.

Located off 95th Street at Cook Avenue, the 60-unit building with a brick and stone facade offers private balconies for each unit. Designs range from 844 to 1,461 square feet with one to three bedrooms and 1.5 or two baths. They are base-priced from $183,900 to $323,900, including one heated, indoor parking space and an individual storage locker. Exterior parking is also available.

Prairie Town Center will also have 18,000 square feet of retail space in two buildings fronting 95th Street. Occupancy for the first building will begin in spring 2008.
