Tom Waeghe is an Assistant Superintendent at Morningside. Tom joined Morningside with over 35 years of hands-on experience in the construction field. Over the years, his expertise in carpentry, solid work ethic, and ability to lead his team has proven to be key to his success.
Prior to joining Morningside, Tom was a foreman and superintendent for a carpenter contracting company for 20 years. He has been certified through the years in OSHA training and lead abatement. Tom comes to Morningside heavily awarded, in 2003 he was awarded “Foreman of the Year,” and has also received recognition for Safety as he and his crew of over thirty men worked 30,000 consecutive man hours without a lost time injury. Earlier in his career, Tom owned a construction company in Brunswick, GA, where he built upscale custom homes on St. Simon’s Island and its surrounding areas.
His late father was his inspiration and taught him the value of quality, knowledge and a solid work ethic. He also enjoys working on projects at home, as well as for family and friends. He and his wife of 24 years have worked together on many home renovations. Tom takes pride in his accomplishments and always humbly works faithfully to the best of his ability. Tom believes in quality family time and enjoys his roll as husband, step father, and grandfather (Papa) to five children.
