ROYAL OAK, MI – When Cadillac executives wanted a streamlined, modern loft setting to introduce the company’s new marketing campaign to the media, they chose SkyLofts MarketSquare in Royal Oak, a Morningside Group development, as the ideal environment.
Between 10 and 20 Detroit area media were expected at the July 26 news conference, being held in a newly completed one-bedroom loft unit in the 88-residence condominium building at 101 Curry Avenue in Royal Oak. (New York media were briefed on July 21 in “The Loft” conference room at the Bryant Park Hotel in Manhattan.)
The SkyLoft’s spectacular 400-square-foot outdoor terrace was the setting for a luncheon, catered by Royal Oak’s Pronto, following the presentation.
“SkyLofts MarketSquare provided a unique environment to showcase the unveiling of Cadillac’s new marketing campaign,” said Kevin Smith, Cadillac communications manger. “Like Cadillac vehicles, the Lofts offer modern styling and luxury.”
General Motors’ conference planners didn’t know it, but SkyLofts MarketSquare already had a few connections to GM of its own. A number of residents of SkyLofts’ buyers work at GM or one of its affiliates, according to development manager Nico Schultz.
“Royal Oak is a natural choice for those commuting into downtown Detroit,” Schultz said. “It offers great shopping, dining and entertainment. At SkyLofts MarketSquare, downtown’s energy and conveniences are yours to enjoy, without all the street noise. Residents love the quality of life, with restaurants and shops just down the block; peace and quiet when desired.”
SkyLofts MarketSquare is the sister development to the groundbreaking SkyLofts Royal Oak. The development has 88 residences, priced from the $250s, with select properties available for immediate move-in. SkyLofts MarketSquare offers indoor parking, an on-site fitness center, storage lockers, luxurious finishes such as granite counters and bamboo floors, and a balcony or terrace with every residence.
