Norrthbrook’s newest shopping center has four restaurants gearing up to compete, but one of them, at least so far, doesn’t seem to need much marketing.
“Before we were open, when we were still under construction, we put up ‘coming soon’ signs, and blocked the door with wooden pallets,” Paul Cwik, assistant manager of the new Chipotle Mexican Grill in the NorthShore 770 center, said on a recent Thursday.
“People moved the pallets aside and tried to come in,” he said. “We don’t really have to do anything. The Chipotle brand logo is all we need.”
The new restaurant received on Oct. 27 a full Northbrook Class A liquor license. Chipotle Communications Director Chris Arnold said recently that the decision to seek the license wasn’t a big deal.
